Etching Summer School

August 22nd, 2016

I recently went on a week long etching course at Leicester Print Workshop, where I am now a working member. I specialised in etching on my undergraduate printmaking degree at Sheffield Hallam and found that I had forgotten a lot but also remembered some of the processes.

The tutor Sue Baker, was brilliant and if you get chance to see any of her etching or sketchbooks, they are incredibly inspirational.

I’ve attached some samples of what went on during the week, it was texture and line heaven!

Time to make the effort here!

Well, what can I say, the news page has slipped in an almighty fashion…but a lot has gone on. There’s plenty to write about that’s for sure, when I find the time!

The main news is that I’ve been accepted for Wirksworth Arts Trail, as part of the yearly Arts Festival. The Trail takes place on Sat/Sun 10th/11th September in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. As a newbie, I’m not sure what really happens, but what I’m hoping happens is that lots of people visit and that some of those people like what they see and some of those people buy a print. Maybe it could be you!

Proud to be part of WF 2016

Welcome to my new website!

September 4th, 2015

‘Hello and thank you’ for looking at my brand new portfolio site in more depth. There are exciting times ahead, new drawings and prints materialising in new directions, I’m teaching screen printing workshops in my studio this coming Autumn 2015 and there will hopefully some exhibition opportunities, once the new prints are underway.

I’m based at Oldknows Factory, Nottingham where I’ve recently expanded into two studios. I’ll be posting photos of the workshop space and new works very soon, meanwhile back to the drawing boards!
