Vicky Price is a printmaking specialist, producing contemporary screen prints, etchings and installations from her Nottingham studio.
I enjoy making prints that are centred on process, finding detail and structure in botanical subjects and creating visual stories from nature. Within the inking processes I discover new colour-ways, technicalities and print surfaces. I’m very much devoted to the use of light source effects to enhance the deeply tinted print works. Always using archival water-based inks onto the highest quality papers enhances my minute attention to high quality craftsmanship.

‘As far as is possible, I simulate digital effects by hand, combining industrial and contemporary print techniques with cut stencils, drawing layers and reprints that thrive on the lost and found details. Each hybrid print encapsulates extensive and varied printmaking processes’.
